Smithfield, Rhode Island Speed Traps

They sit way up in the grass on an embankment on the right side of the road (if your heading north on douglas toward burrillville) just before bryant university right across from parentes restaurant. The sit with the headlights off and just totally rob people at this spot because there is a slight hill going up past the college that requires pressing the gas a little firmly and the limit is only 40. I have been told personally if I keep my speed under 50 they wont pull me on douglas pike.

The cops sit in the remax building parking lot just before harris road crosses douglas pike, if your going south its on your right just after the 295/douglas intersection. They sit about 50 ft into the parking lot with the headlights off at night so you have no idea until they get you. The speed limit is only 40 but the road feels like you should do 60.

Usually see a cruiser in Douglas Lumber lot, or around the corner in dirt lot on Twin River Rd. Nighttime,after 10p.

Southbound on Rte 7 just after it crosses over Rte 295 there is often a cruiser parked in the driveway of the realty office. This is tough spot as the speed limit is 40 mph there on a four lane divided highway headed downhill.
