Warwick, Rhode Island Speed Traps
Airport Road
The speed limit posted at 25 mph at Speedy and last for less than .1 miles, then 35 mph heading from Warwick Ave intersection toward Post Road. Warwick police are pulling over cars for going over 25 but less than 35 repeatedly. Simply a speed trap to collect fines, no public safety purpose.
Ives Rd. near Potowamut CC
There is a rise in the land that ends near PCC, police will hide on the other side and nab drivers headed east towards the public beach, esp. during summer beach season.
Entrence to Goddard Park Equestrian Area
Not frequently, but I have seen police hiding out in the paved road at the equestrian area and use the high stone wall for cover. That section of Ives Rd. is long and straight, so don’t get fooled into thinking it is unguarded.
95 north/295 split
On 95 north right after the 295 north split in warwick, there are a group of pine trees to the far left. State police like to sit between the trees with their radar and unfortunately if you do spot them, it’s too late, they already got you so beware
Metro Center Boulevard near Kilvert Street
I’m not exactly sure where the speed trap is set up, but I recently started driving down this route often at around 5-6PM and have seen atleast 1 car pulled over every single day.
*This could also be stop sign violations at the 4 way stop at the Kilvert/Metro intersection.
