Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Speed Traps
Preston Ave. by Walter Murray heading S. Bound after Taylor
This is a school zone and the police like to stand in the center median to catch speeders. They will pull you over in the Church parking lot on the East side of Preston about 1 block after you pass the officer in center grass median. Particularly a bad ticket, as it’s in a school zone and it will cost you points on your driving record. They like to hang out there when there is no school going on during that day, but you still have to obey the limit.
8th St. between McKercher Drive and Boychuk Drive
The police hide in the trees along the Wildwood golf course or in the center meridian. They have cars around the corner on Boychuk Drive.
8th St. and Briargate Road
The police have been sitting on 8th St. at the Briargate Rd access to Briarwood. They face west and can catch anyone speeding all the way from 8th St.
Circle Drive Bridge (HWY16) East side of river
Patrols will park in the Emergency Vehicle U-turn lane on the east side of the bridge. A 70km/h turning into a 90km/h coming east bound and 90km/h west bound speed limits. Hard to see going east bound in the 70 zone because of the curve of the road. A gentle hill down the bridge helps you OVER accelerate. If you’re west bound, the fence line distorts your view but, a keen eye will spot the Trap.
Taylor Street & Heritage
Parked on Heritage Way across the street from SGI. Targeting cars traveling from the east.
