Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Speed Traps
Avenue R & 22nd Street Southside of Road
The police generally position 3 to 4 squad cars here, 1 being a ghost car (Beige in Color). Watch for an officer on the southeast corner using a tri-pod with a radar positioned on top. Too avoid this try to point your front license plate downwards so it doesn’t rebound back to him. This is the reason for the front license plate here, newer aerodynamic vehicles don’t give good radar returns due to a lack of flat surfaces. Ask to see the radar at this location because they generally tell you that you can’t see it. It is a right for us to see it here so argue with him or don’t pay the ticket.
Warman Rd & Hazen Rd intersection
Officer behind telephone pole obscured by trees and on a curve. As one come over the overpass and through the last set of lights approx 400m down the road is where the officer stands. No vehicle to be seen until you get around the curve. Bang! 4-6 police vehicles turning out a meat grinder of tickets. Very unsafe as well as officer pulling vehicles over darted into the unsuspecting traffic to stop them and wave them over.
Westside of University Bridge
Police hide in Kinsmen park and set up radar at the end of the bridge. If you get caught they wave you into the park and ticket you
