Anderson, South Carolina Speed Traps

Officers sit on either side of the road at the bottom of a hill. They nab drivers coming over a ‘blind hill’ or ‘curve’ before its too late to see them. Speed limit is a redicuously slow 35mph. Its an easy ticket for the police.

Just below the road level (not visible). Thirty mph zone, NO traffic except during festival periods.

I’ve been driving this for 10 years and several times a week, every week, you will see radar taken. There is a break in the mediun at this location just south of the Truck check station. It resides in the south most point for Anderson County on 85. They are especially found of catching GA drivers going North since the speed reduces coming into SC.

The speed limit is 45 mph on a four lane road with absolutely No egress, no businesses…should be at least 55 mph. I’ve been stopped and there are always troopers there. I’m Not complaining about you guys doing your job, and risking your lives to protect us, but that stupid 45 mph needs to be changed!!!

Speed limit is 35 mph the entire road. Coming from the Hwy 24 side traveling past New Prospect Elementary School on the right, you will go downhill around a curve. The two patol cars will be on the left next to the old farm house. They’ll get you in heartbeat. They are there several times a month.
