Be careful when your traveling on 170 to Savannah. As you approach the circle, it drops from 55 to 35 quickly, barely any warning. A cop sits in one of the islands, waiting for you to come around the bend, with the radar gun out the window waiting. A huge Revenue trap.
Near the BMW dealership on SC 278
On Saturday and Sunday mornings, there is a BCSD Dodge Durango sitting off SC 278 tagging people for revenue. You wont see the revenue trap until after you have been tagged.

US Highway 278 near Sheridan Park Median
Late at night Bluffton PD will sit in the median by Sheridan Park typically facing westbound. Since their cars are all dark colored, you will not notice them until it’s too late.
State Highway 46 near 4-way Stop Sign
Posted speed of 30 mph is strickly enforced. The effective area is from the Bluffton post office thru the 4-way stop sign to Piggly Wiggly where it increases to 40 mph. There is absolutely No cushion not even 1 mph over the posted speed. I have lived here for 6 years and have seen hundreds of cars cited. This is simply a revenue tactic of the city. Even the state of South Carolina has investigated the enforcement.
