I-26 corridor Summerville to Charleston

Charleston, South CarolinaOct 18, 20120 Comments

Many unmarked cars now that are hard to spot their two white bars each side of their middle stop light, some with Dodge Challengers and other large vehicles but all with personal tags. They will speed in and out of traffic with the flow usually doing up to 9 miles over the limit and pull one per one way trip over a course of the entire patrol. They try for a minimum of one per each direction. I have seen them stop large vehicles for speeding over 10 mph but let the small new cars get by with above 14 mph. I don’t know why.

There are Dodge Challenger cars with what looks like white lights in the rear window but you cannot see them at night. They ride up and down I-26 and are traveling over the speed limits themselves. But if you go with the flow and pass them you might be one of the ticketed. I was pulled by one young newbie and he was so unsafe at my dark location that he is in danger of being in harm if someone was with bad intentions. I am a former cop and military and this young lad is seriously asking for a mishap. Why they picked my slow bulky truck rather than one of the smaller speedier cars is beyond me. Just watch out for new unmarked cars patrolling all the time.

After crossing Ashley River Bridge right after Holiday Inn

Charleston, South CarolinaMay 07, 20120 Comments

Usually concealed in parking lot of Waffle House or paved area right after Holiday Inn. Targeted at drivers driving toward West Ashley across the bridge. Radar vantage point usually aimed toward Ashley River Bridge; usually a black Dodge Charger without external light-bar/blacked and blacked out windows sitting perpendicular to road w/handheld radar pointed toward bridge.

BEWARE! Do the speed limit! There’s a cop generally hiding at the round Holiday Inn!

On I26 West Bound just before I526 exit.

Cop hides just around the bend in road right after the Montague exit. I have seen him on multiple days between 8 and 10 in the morning and always has someone pulled over.
