Cottageville, South Carolina Speed Traps

Got a ticket for a DWY (driving while Yankee) from two of the nastiest people I’ve ever had the mispleasure to meet. One stood slightly in back of me. Very intimidating, One kept his hand near his gun. I can see how a fiftish couple in a luggage loaded minivan could pose a threat. They refused to explain the ticket to me. (Whats an assessment?) They also pulled the reckless driving scam. Up north we have a word for officials that take extra money to "help" you.

There is at least one or two vehicles on patrol almost all the time. Even people that travel throught there have been ticketed for going as low as two miles per hour over the speed limit. The town of Cottageville thrives off of these speed traps with extreme speeding fines!!!
