Greenville, South Carolina Speed Traps
Haywood Road near Chili’s on Haywood Road Behind it
Behind Chili’s on top of the hill there is a storage shed with a piece of property beside it. There is a well defined drive for which officers like to stop and eat lunch and watch drivers driving behind chili’s, on timmons dr and the spot overlooks Haywood Road been pulled twice in this spot
Batesview Drive near East North Street
Batesview Dr. starts on one end at E. North street. From here it is all down hill and there is no way one will be driving 30 mph at the bottom. Very fiew get through this convenient trap. E. North is 35 mph and this is just too easy for enforcement. Thanks
Pleasantburg Drive near Butler/Mauldin Road
On Pleasentburg Drive, the Police normally set up a trap across from Papa Johns… >_> Watch out.
Stone Avenue near Rutherford Street
Very similar to Church Street – an Officer stands on roadside with hand-held radar gun, stepping out into traffic to direct speeding individuals to a side street. Happens most frequently during school hours as this is a school zone. I have seen quite a few pulled off at one time.
Interstate 85 near Between Woodruff and Pelham Roads
Cop was sitting watching I-85 North traffic from up in the old weigh station exit ramp. He had a friend further down the road that would pull people over.
