Manning, South Carolina Speed Traps

I got pulled over in this little town doing 83 in a 70. A couple things seemed strange because there were a handful of cars going thru there and we were all going about the same speed. My speedometer said 77 when I went by the sheriff. Then the sheriff waited 3 miles before he pulled me over. I asked him was this little town hurting for money. I guess he called himself cutting me a break because made it a 79 in a 70 speeding ticket. Saved me about $85. Guess that was OK. But i travel I-95 a lot between NC and SC, before then I have never seen many police patrol on this highway, but now I see them a lot. Just watch your speed through these stretches they may give you 8-10 miles over and that’s it.

Lots of construction on US 521 from Sumter to Manning. Cops running extra radar on this highway, so expect the local law enforcement to pursue "revenue enhancment" opporunities – at YOUR expense. Better watch out anywhere between the Town of Manning and I-95.
