State Route Rt. 130 Main St. near Post Office
Rt. 130 is a main tourist highway between South Carolina and North Carolina. The speed limit is 55 mph for most of the trip. Within the Town of Salem (population 109) for a distance of approximately 3 miles the speed limit is 35 mph. It is highly enforced with little notice or chance of a warning ticket. Tickets have also been given for going too slow and making a U turn.
