Springdale, South Carolina Speed Traps

Springdale police hide on the left side of road (Irmine) in shadows just around downhill curve about 700 feet from intersection of Irmine and Platt Springs Road.. Beware the entire town of Springdale SC is a speedtrap.

Pretty much anywhere in the town of Springdale I’ve seen police cars sitting and monitoring traffic or they already have someone pulled over. The speed limit is 40 along the main road and they’ll make you stay pretty close to that.

Springdale police will stop a car if only traveling at 1 over the speed limit and then will demand search of the car. You will be with an officer at least 1 hour for every stop

These officers are sneaky, sneaky. They hide all over the place. I have seen them in several places in the town, but one place they frequent is on Platt Springs Rd around the hill as you cross I26. The one time I was pulled over for speeding (not in that area), I never saw him coming. I have no idea where he was!
