131st Street between LaGrange Rd. (96th AVE) and 104th Ave
A recent speed limit reduction trap. Both Palos Park Police and Cook County Sheriff are preying on unsuspecting motorists in this recent speed limit reduction area. A drop from 45MPH to 30 MPH. The cops hide in the Peace Memorial church lot and the Medical building on the corner of 104th and 131st St.. Palso Park police hide in the bank parking lot by the Jewel food store. They have have been operating these traps for about ten days now.

This has to be a huge moneymaker for these police departments. I travel this route many times a day during weekdays and on most saturdays and sundays. I have seen these police cars ticketing as early as 6:00 a. m. and as late as 9:00 p.m. I have seen tickets being given on sunday mornings at 7:00 am. What a shameful racket and what a joke. I think the higher ups have given a green light to this travesty because of recent budget cuts in the sheriff's department. This has been going on for almost a year and I don't think they have any intention of stopping this unless the news media gets a hold of this story and exposes this scam.
