2 Lane Road near 4400 Block of 5th St. W.

State Patrol Officer without full uniform stands with hand held on the Heather Hills mobile home park property. His Civilian car is parked in the grass. From a distance it looks like just someone’s car parked in the grass. The speed limit is a LOW 30 mph. If caught speeding he waves to you to pull over. If you don’t, there is a FHP car around the corner he signals to. Most people drive 10-15 m.p.h. over the limit because this section of road is .7 miles from the time you turn on it until you come to the next stop sign or traffic light, and is lightly traveled. Normally this trap is set on Saturday or Sundays between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. What is wrong is that the officer is on Private property._

Comments:
The area this person is speaking about is highly traveled everyday and has a lot of speeders on it daily. The property that the police are parking on is owned by the county not by private civilans. I live on this street and watch people pass other people on this street which they are not suppose to do. Also who ever put this article in here does not know their way around here very well because the street between 4400 block of 5th street west only goes about one mile up to 53rd ave west and dead ends so you have to turn right or left on highway 70 or 53rd ave west, but a lot of people try to make this a short cut bypassing highway 41. I have lived here in manatee county in this area over 50 years and I don't think they set out here enough to slow these speeders down.
