300 Block Main
Definite Speed Trap! Going east on Main St. you approach a nice park on the north side. A speed sign of 45 miles an hour is posted right before the park. within about 200 ft the speed limit drops to 30. At least that’s what the officer said. I clearly saw the officer as I went around the curve. Started to even wave… then I saw the lights of his motorcycle come on. I moved to the right to let him go around me and he followed. I told my wife I thought he might be wanting me to stop. She ask why? I said I don’t know. I am over 65, a retired senior citizen, and disabled. The officer was all business. I asked him where the signs were that reduced the speed? He told me they were near the park coming up to a school. It was Saturday. There was no school. I saw the school zone 20 when flashing sign. Never saw the others. Then I remember seeing TV reports in San Antonio about Schertz speed traps and knew I had just found one.
