36th Street between Hwy 370 and Capehart

Bellevue, NebraskaMay 01, 20101 Comments

Northbound and Southbound on 36th Street is a major speed trap. The cops like to sit on the shoulder just after the hills, or in the church parking lot near the cemetery. The speed limit is 35 mph for most of 36th, but there’s a section near the catholic church/school that is 25mph "when children are present" which isn’t always obvious. They’re especially active during "rush" hours and after 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Comments:
Definitely watch this area on 36th between Capehart and 370. They are especially prevalent at night but will run radar also in this area during the day. They also like to sit at times on some of the wider shoulder areas. Bellevue is ruthless for catching traffic infractions and this area is a hotbed lately for them catching speeders. Don't be surprised if Sarpy is also sitting there running radar in those same areas.
