On Friday nights late or early sat mornings there will be a CHP officer pointing southbound using KA band instant on radar in the center divider. He’s usually blacked out.. no lights or even marker lights. You will just get hit with radar.. so if you’re using a radar detector it’s worthless unless you’re smart enough to keep another speeding car in front of you at about a mile distance ahead.. You’ll get the secondary signal that way.
