I heard from a buddy of mine on the Lexington-Fayette Police Dept. that they have received funding from the DOT to add laser detectors to the traffic cameras used arounf New Circle Rd. He says they will be able to identify speeders and use the cameras to record the event. He was not sure if the police will still have write the tickets, or whether tickets will be mailed to the registered owners. He says it is experiemntal and the policy will be decided real soon after implamentation.
