The speed trap is located driving into McKenzie from the Milan direction or of course driving out of McKenzie towards Milan. It’s a nice and relatively wide 4 land highway and a very low traffic area. I’m new to the area but have been driving to McKenzie to shop. I received a ticket displaying my car and license plate, driving on the 4 lane going 52 in a 40mph. The fine states $50 and if not mailed in by the designated date, an additional $30 will be added. I will not be shopping or doing any business at all in McKenzie, Tn. It truly is a speed trap for the town to make money and not pay a traffic officer. The speed limit is totally ridiculous since it should be at a minimum 45 to 55 on that 4 lane.
