Speed cmaera on a 4 lane road with 35mph limit. One camera in the 4500 block and one in the 4600 block

Comments:
When I got the ticket in the mail I was not surprised. Not because I knew I was speeding, but I remember not being able to ascertain the speed limit! This stretch of road could easily be a 55 MPH area. But it is 35. If your coming North on 95, you see signs for food and lodging, but upon exiting, it does not indicate right or left. I went right, found no food and got the "speeding" ticket while driving back.

I received a citation from the 4600 Ammendale rd camera on May 6th. Based on calculations using the Vehicle manufacturer length specifications and measurements of the position on line markers, which are 10 feet long according to the PG County published roadway standards and specifications, as references against the time stamps on the citation the citation photos show my car traveled 16 feet in .3 seconds which calculates to 36 MPH. 35 MPH is the posted speed limit. The citation indicates 55MPH that's quite a difference. I think there is an accuracy issue with this camera, especially considering I had just started through the intersection from a red light.
