Legendary in the 1970's and 80's but not since. They issue very few speeding tickets per month(from public record) and a 10-12 mph speed margin is standard. So if one exceeds a 35 mph speed limit by driving 44 mph, they will not get a speeding ticket. That is the Police Departments threshold. You cannot get much more lenient than that and this is a higher allowance than most major of Police Departments across the country give.

A recent addition to the speed trap is a red light runner camera on eastbound and westbound traffic at 54th Ave. and 58 th Street. The good news is the police dept. has been busted for leaving the area during the work shift and eating meals and other forms of goofing off and getting paid.
