5th Avenue near Arizona Boulevard
I saw 4 motorcycle patrolmen and 2 squad cars in the general area within a 15 minute timespan. They patrol like locusts during midday by Third Street Promenade. I saw them give three tickets within 5 minutes. Don’t really know what the offenses were. Very bad near the Post Office (Arizona & 5th).

That's 5th Street...not 5th Avenue. I live on 3rd Street & Wilshire Blvd.
Also, be very careful about reading the parking signs anywhere in Santa Monica ... they're deceptive. Santa Monica thrives on tickets.
This a mostly a trap for jaywalkers. There is a casting office on the west side of 5th St (yes, St, not Ave) and a bike cop is almost always waiting in the Whole Foods exit on the east side of street. They give ticket after ticket, all day long, for many years. Don't ever jaywalk there. The bike cop even gave me a citation for making a U-turn on that street. I stupidly thought it was legal to do so. It is not.
