Actually the motorcycle cop is USUALLY in the Whole Foods exit on the east side of 5th Steet (just south of Wilshire.) They are often there b/c there is a casting office on the west side of the street, and actors are constantly jaywalking. They ticket them, one after another. But the cops will also get you on anything and everything else, including illegal u-turns and speeding. Be careful in this zone near the post office.
