6500 Block of North Hixson Pike
Received a violation which displayed the rear of my car defined by a green line against the back wheels. 45 miles posted speed in this area. I live in Lakesite and my first violation arrived 11 days after the camera caught it. This is NOT an intersection or a light. I rode by to check it out and couldn’t spot a camera.

We got not just one, but two tickets on the same day (yesterday) from this speed camera at the 6500 block on Hixson Pike. There are no signs up warning of photo enforced speed limits. We only saw a gray box close to the area that might be a camera??? We go this route all the time as we live in Lakesite, too. Speeding tickets from cameras were made illegal in TN on July, 1st of this year, except in school zones and dangerous "S" curves, so what gives? 6500 block of Hixson Pike is about 2 miles from the nearest school, and is on a perfectly straight stretch of road!
This is a mobile unit, usually a white Ford Explorer with heavily black tinted windows. Always shooting Ka radar to catch southbound traffic. Sets up mostly mid-day, once, or twice, a week. Sometimes the operator will place a warning sign ~50 yards to the north (near Nana's), but most times not. Also watch for a camera vehicle across from Choo Choo BBQ, right beside the gas station, shooting southbound.
