Officers will sit on the southbound end of town right after the speed limit drops to 40 mph. There is a very dark area past the church on the right that is open but hard to see. I got a ticket Aug. 24th at night for running a stopsign and from where he was sitting there is no way he could see that I had in fact stopped. They are very rude and arrogant in Wells. I have lived here for several years and they are as corrupt as you can find anywhere. Becarful, it does not take you even breaking thew laws here for you to get a ticket or even arrested!

Pay attention to your surroundings! All traffic signs in the State of Texas say the exact same thing. Take responsibility for your actions, if you speed expect to get a ticket. If you do not get stopped this time you will get stopped eventually. TxDot sets the speed limit signs and the speed limit on all highways, you getting a ticket doesn't make it a speed trap.
