95A, south from the light on Main street.

The speed limit here is 25. It looks like it should be 35 or maybe even 40. Nice wide road, not many driveways, etc.

I see the NHP raising funds here quite often. At least once a week.

About 8 or 10 years ago, the Highway department did a speed study, and found that more than 90% of the cars violated the speed limit. The average speed was something like 34 MPH, or so.

It has been an effective fundraiser for the 13 years I’ve lived in Fernley.

Comments:
This are is adjacent to two schools, a park, a ball field and has a 15mph school zone in the middle of it. Besides, its classified as 'business, congested'. There are residences on the street. The speed limit changes after you get south of the school zone and the houses to something more reasonable. Drive slower.

It is only a speed-trap if we are not paying attention to the posted speeds. Everyone, from time to time, day-dreams and we loose our focus. So, in all fairness, lets not blame the laws, created to provide safe driving.
