96th Avenue near New Holland Street
County Deputies will usually sit in the parking area of the Water Dept. building (just after the one house just north of New Holland, on the east side of 96 [behind the cattails and reeds]).
About two miles earlier there is a small sign stateing "Speed Limit 50" with ‘Ends’ in smaller print just under it. This indicates an unposted rural area speed limit universaly known as ’55mph’.
55 is the speed – no less, no more.
54 is ‘Impedeing Traffic’.
56 is ‘Reckless Endangerement’.
Everything north of this area is uncongested, flat farmland with miles and miles of nothingness.
I think a farmer might have hit a duck, once…in 1972.
