Airline and Barksdale Blvd. intersection
Red light trap at intersection with two sets of lights separated by railroad tracks. Lights turn yellow as vehicle enters intersection. Officer reports this to officer at second set of lights, who tickets for a "red light violation" though he witnesses no offense. Motorists proceed through second set to clear tracks. Complaints before court by multiple victims are to no avail.

The Airline Dr and Barksdale Blvd intersection is more of a red light trap than a speed trap. It is true that 3 or 4 police officers at a time work the area. Some are in the parking lot of a convenience store and others are a little east on Barksdale. If a driver goes through the yellow light, an officer farther down the road pulls them over to tell them they "didn't make it." Fine is almost $200. I have seen so many drivers at this intersection deliberately running the red light though, and you guessed it, not a police officer in sight.
