Airport Entrance Road near Interstate 81

Syracuse, New YorkJun 09, 20051 Comments

The entrance to the Syracuse International Airport is a four lane, divided highway. It’s a few miles long, it’s straight, and has barely any intersections until you get to the very end.

Despite the above, and being connected directly to Interstate 81 (65mph) this road is only 45. And the State Police have a barracks on airport property, and they are always sitting somewhere along the road. I’ve never been caught, but I see them nailing someone else almost every time I go there. Just like the poster who warned about JFK Airport in Queens, the cops are simply taking advantage of people who are running late to catch a flight or a pick someone up… even if you’re on time, it’s so easy to drive 55 or 60 without even realizing it.

Comments:
And when they're bored, they will gang up and do the seat-belt/registration/inspection gig. You get on to the airport road and there's no where to go....
