Albion Road
A major traffic enforcement blitz is underway in south Ottawa in the new year (2004). Enforcement is fanatical–slip just a few miles over the speed limit and you can expect to be stopped. The situation is particularly bad on Albion Road (especially near the Lester Road intersection, where the speed limit drops from 80 kilometers to 50 kilometers in the space of a few hundred feet) and south Bank Street/Highway 31. The police aren’t just going after egregious offenders–they are pulling people over for the most trivial of offences. Beware.
