All American Expressway near Owen Drive

Fayetteville, North CarolinaJun 03, 20042 Comments

Cops sit up on the over-pass over Raeford Road waiting for unsuspecting victims to reach 55 mph before the 45 mph zone is over. They wait for you to get on All American off of Owen on your way to Fort Bragg and then show their appreciation for all our troops sacrifices by giving out speeding tickets because we accelerated a little bit too soon….100 or so yards too soon to be exact.

..."show their appreciation for all our troops sacrifices by giving out speeding tickets"...Are you serious? We've had four fatal crashes in Fayetteville in the last two months due to Soldiers speeding and driving drunk. Two were in the same car, traveling in excess of 100 MPH on the All American Fwy and lost control killing the driver and the passenger. Most of the speeding, DWIs and crashes in Fayetteville are because of soldiers, Most people need to stop looking at a car as a piece of 'eye candy' that gets them from point A to point B and realize it's a dangerous weapon that can, and will, kill you or someone else.

There is no good reason for the 45 MPH speed limit once Owen Dr. turns into the All American Fwy. This is a speed trap. Furthermore, I received the same response as the one above from a LEO Sup for Fayetteville PD. I don't believe or trust it or them and neither should you. The same LEO who gave me a ticket near Cliffdale Rd on the AAF sped off, chipped my windshield with a rock as he sped onto Cliffdale rd. (Completely above the law...quite the display of arrogance.) I decided to go up and see what his hurry was. No hurry, he was just chilling out in traffic. His Supervisor claimed he was on a call when he sped off. Funny, he was just chilling in traffic. That said, I don't trust the Cops in Fayetteville, they are simply a revenue force. Fayetteville is ran more liek a business and not a municipality. To combat this, stop spending $$ in Fayetteville, buy off the internat as much as possible and from neighboring communities. Stay out of their bars and clubs too go out of town and get a room on the weekends or socialize at home. Inform the Fayetteville Chamber Of Commerce of your decision and encourage your friends to do the same. They don't care about you, or want you there, blame you for their problems anyway. All they want is your $$ so spend it anywhere but there.
