Not sure I understand what a speed trap is. Part of my job is driving for a living and I see signs posted indicating an allowable speed limit by law. So how is that a trap? Guess I people just drove the allowable posted speed limit they wouldn't get stopped or given a ticket. Right?

A friend was stopped and ticketed for no seat belt. The problem is he had one on. My friend has always been repectful of law informent. He called me when the officer had gone back the the squad car to run his liense. I asked hm to leave the line open, he asked the cop why he did this and the cop said "take it to court" . I truely know my friend did not call me and lie to me while this was going on. I do not know how protect oneself from this.
