CHPs will radar you while driving going in both directions. They will pull u turns and come after you with any speed over 60. Speed limit is 55 because of heavy trucker traffic.

166 in this area is one of the most dangerous stretches in California. Even driving at the posted speed is dangerous. In this case, slow down and live.
This is a major route from the valleys to the coast. 2-lane, winding, lots of no-passing zones, slow truck traffic, people anxious to get to the beach or home pulling boats and trailers. I only drive this stretch about 3-4 times a year and even though I drive at the max allowed it is always necessary to be super alert. Someone dies almost every week on this stretch of 166.
