Along Hwy 51 through entire town
Anywhere in the city limits of Cairo police cars sit along Hwy 51 enforcing the 30 MPH zone. Absolutely no leeway is given. Contrary to what some believe they do not target out of state drivers as nearly everyone I know locally has received a citation. They tend to sit near 28th St or 18th St but can be anywhere at anytime. Don’t even drive 31 MPH anywhere in Cairo.

i know all about cairo,i am from there.i will say this.to my knowledge i don't think it's a speed trap.many times i have driven thru there watching out of town folks passing me difinetly going over the speed limit.i think because there isn't anything there,folks wanna hurry up and get thru it.
