There is a two mile stretch of Andrew Jackson Parkway in Hermitage, TN. where the speed limit goes from 40 Mph to 30 Mph to a 20 MPH school zone back to 35 MPH up to 40 MPH and back down to 30 MPH…just after this there is a very active speed trap at all times of the day where a patrol car sits on a side street (Albany) at the bottom of a hill around a corner just salivating to nab you. This is a 4 lane road with moderate traffic. There is absolutely no reason for any speed limit of less than 40-45 MPH. except as a fund raiser to the local Police Department.
