Over the last few weeks, I’ve noticed that Pine Bluff has begun using unmarked and unusual vehicles — and officers in plain clothes — to make traffic stops. One vehicle is a taupe SUV and another is a dark pick-up truck. Aside from the radar trap aspect, the use of plain clothes officers is worrisome and potentially dangerous. Unfortunately anyone — even a 17 year old wannabe cop — can to buy and install blue lights.
