While driving on this stretch the speed limit is 55, but they will run behind you (presumably looking for a DUI) and pace you. They pull you over (again hoping for DUI) then give you a ticket for speeding. I got one for 60 in a 45 even though it’s really a 55. When trying to explain this to the officer he would not listen. Of course I went to my court date to fight it. They agreed it was a 55, but made my pay $35 dollars for 60 in a 55 which is not legal for me to be stopped at anyway. The trick is that this is at an arraignment and if you fight it you have to come back for another court date. I can’t miss two days of work for $35 so I paid it. It’s a nice little revenue generator they have going. There were about 50 people there, of which approximately 15 were there for the same thing as me.
