Auburn Rd., between Opdyke and Squirrel

Auburn Hills, MichiganMay 21, 20102 Comments

Going east, the speed limit on Auburn Rd. goes from 50 mph to 35 mph for no apparent reason. OCSD cars sit just east of the I 75 overpass watching for those of us who miss the strange change.

Comments:
The statement above suggests the speed limit changes for no apparent reason. The reason is the 35mph section of the road is residential where as the 45mph section of the road is industrial. The speed limit change is very well posted so it's not really a speed trap. Also the high speed limit is 45mph not 50mph as stated above so if you are doing 50mph you are speeding.

The speed limit is reduced because your coming into our city. The speed limit in town is 25 but people just cutting through go alot faster. Please slow down. Or give me your address and let me speed where your kids play.
