Baseline Avenue near 83rd Avenue
Speed limits go from 45 to 35 and back to 45 all within a mile or so (and I had to backtrack and check this because I had seen the 45 mph signs but not the 35 sign). Gila River Indian Reservation police hide off the side of the road and get you just as the speed limit is about to go back up to 45. No warnings, no explanation as to why you’ve been pulled over (I was totally surprised because I was going just over 45 and saw the sign for 45 as I noticed the police car lights behind me — I didn’t even know I was being pulled over! — until you’re handed a citation. As soon as he finished with me, he went back to his hiding place and got the next driver to come through.
