Beaver Dam Road between Rt 9W and Rt 144
Very similar to the Wemple Road speed trap in that it’s on another 9W/144 connector and involves a steep hill. Travelling east on Beaver Dam Rd you are generally driving downhill towards Rt 144. You’ll cross over the Thruway bridge and shortly thereafter reach the crest of a steep hill that runs you down the last couple hundred yards to 144. It is very easy to exceed the posted 30 mph speed limit in this area by 15 mph. The police will be sitting on the left behind a hump in the road of this steep section.
