Beaverton is known for over-hiring cops, being broke and taking advantage of its citizens. They shorten traffic yellow lights to a point where it is dangerous. Sting operations like have someone cross the street, stop in the middle and when you go by they ticket you. You can count ticket writing to be at a fever pitch the last five days before the end of the month and the first five days at the beginning of the month, speed traps or not. Chicago cops have called Oregon cops Gun crazy. What does all these things tell you. Outside of politicians and police nice place to live on the whole.

Our family avoids Beaverton. Two daughters have had bad experiences there. One daughter was pulled over after she left her bartender job in Beaverton. they said she was weaving. She refused them car search, they did anyway, found nothing. She was taken to jail and booked for dui even though she blew zero. she is a bartender so may have been some smell on her. they impounded her car. cost $300 or so to get car and anothe $400 to hire attorney, which case was finally dismissed in court. Second daughter had similar stop. she had just left parking lot and was hooking her seat belt when they pulled her over for no seat belt. They said she was weaving. When they asked to search car she allowed them to avoid anymore hassle, they found nothing and let her go but still was 30 min nuisance We only go to Beaverton when we have to. we do not shop there
