Behing the purple side barrier on top of a small bridge
If you are traveling north on highway 114, you will see a small purple side barrier up on the left. There will often be a motorcycle cop shooting laser (so your radar detector won’t help you here) at oncoming traffic.

Westlake may have a tendency to pull over vehicles with out-of-state plates. I got stopped with out-of-state plates on HWY 114 heading out of the DFW airport. The officer was parked in a dip in the meridian close to a speed reduction sign. Less than a minute before I saw the sign, I was passed by two vehicles with Texas plates going much faster and well over the limit. They were not pulled over - I guess they knew exactly where to slow down, but because of the rolling terrain I could not see them. I was actually staying in the town that night to meet with a local company. Early the next morning when I was driving over to the company, I saw three vehicles pulled over on 114 in just a mile or so. In two cases: Out of state plates.
