Belvedere Rd anywhere West of the Airport

Motorcycle cops and Patrol Cars with the cops standing in the middle of the road with radar guns they don’t bother turning no lights on they step right out in the street and tell u to pull over, don’t bother trying to get a warning your getting a ticket.

Comments:
We would hope that the police have better things to do than guard a 30 mi speed limit on a six lane road. If not, residents of West Palm Beach can save a lot of money in salaries, pensions and other benefits by just firing them.

I received a ticket for going 39mi per hour in a "30 mi" zone. Speed suddenly changes and radar guns are at attention....3 motorcycle police with I guess, little more important to do. It's outrageous. As a citizen and a taxpayer, I take offence at using our police officers in this manner. Moreover, I wonder if the police are aware of the cancer danger of the radiation from these guns poised on their faces!

This is definitely a cushy speed trap for the officers. A wide boulevard with double lanes in each direction, walls on each side protecting the officers from the neighbors who might see what they do to the people they trap, a nice shaded pull-over area to wait in prey. I got caught in their speed trap and I was not even speeding. They did not stop the cars passing me on the left, just me and two others in rental cars just a few miles from the airport as the police are able to identify rental cars by their license plates I believe they would assume those in rental cars are from out of state who will just pay the ticket without the likelihood of fighting the ticket. They claim I was going 49 but would give me a ticket for just going 10 miles over the limit. I fought the ticket via mail and submitted all my documentation registered certified return receipt. I never heard back from the courts. I just received a drivers license suspension notice. When I called the PBC court to get a copy of the court transcript, the woman was very rude. Upon my further review of the court info found on-line, I found out the officer never showed up in court. The case should have been dismissed at that time, but they continued it. When I asked whether or not the officer showed up in court the second time, she stated she would transfer me to someone who could help and then hung up on me. When I tried to call back I received the same treatment. I was strong-armed into paying the ticket plus costs so I would not lose my license here in my home state. What a country we live in! When's the next flight out?
