On the south end Summerville PD will hide at entrance to SCE&G substation. Here they are able to get north or south bound traffic. About midway from either end just north of Gahagan they have a nice little grade that bends around a curve to a blind overpass. Very heavily patrolled here. At the north end, just south or access roads for Lowes and HomeDepot, they sit just off the roadway in a dead end access. Visible to south bound but, not to north. This parkway is five lanes, two each way with a center turn lane. At night, BEWARE, they will sit in middle lane with lights out. This entire 4 mile stretch is undeveloped and unlighted. If you know the right people you will be cut a little slack but not much. Their big thing is to write the ticket for careless operation instead of speeding, this way more money stays in Summerville, and the state does not know what deal has been worked out.
