there are two obvious traps one on the tehama county side.speed drops to 55 at the bottom of the grade 5mi later straight downhill and, ticket. the second one is speed drops to 55mi at the plumas county line 5mi later straight downhill and, ticket.the 55 mph sign is obscurred behind a tree and not where it would serve as a safety tool. The worst part was when the CHP told a passerby “4 so far”

As far as I know the speed limit remains 55 from the Hwy 32 junction all the way in to Chester where it gradually drops to 30 through town. There are no signal lights, stop signs or sidewalks in town so being aware of the speed limit and actually following it is a considerable safety issue. If you don't speed, you won't get a ticket.
