Between Mojave Hwy. 14 off ramp and California City
CHP wait on overpasses and identify speeders and relay to CHP “rookies” (identified by wearing blue coveralls, instead of the proud beige uniform the big boys wear) in training. There are sightings of an average of 4 every afternoon, with at least a 75% capture and citing rate. Still the Nevada and Arizona speeders get worse all the time!

The cops and the judge at the court are all in the program together togather as much revenue as possible for this craphole of a town. The speeding fines finance the entire police department. They are very organized at both issuing tickets, and making sure the charges stick by having all their radar test certificates, paperwork, etc at the court date. The citing office WILL turn up, and no matter what your argument is the judge will side with the cops and rule against you. Even though this is a town of inbreds and hillbillies, they have their money-making machine very well oiled. It is probably their only source of revenue, as nobody would ever stop here unless they need gas or food. Avoid this town at ALL COSTS !
DO NOT SPEED anywhere near this town. They will nail you.
