The speed trap is located between NE 113th St – NE 121St on NE 6th avenue in the city of Biscayne Park. This one speed trap alone must fund half of the departments’ yearly revenue. They are very, very clever in the way they catch people speeding through their area. They typically position themselves on the median of the intersecting streets with their radars aimed directly at passing traffic. Also, they like to hide on the corner lawn of resident’s homes for better viewing advantage.

At night time, with the lack of quality lighting, in addition to the dark tints on their patrol units, they’re essentially invisible. If you even contemplate doing more than the posted 30 MPH speed limit in their area, expect for bright red and blue lights to quickly illuminate in your rear-view mirror. My advice to anyone riding through this area is to drive at 25 MPH on cruise control to ensure a consistent, yet legal speed.
