Between the S.14th Exit and Lawrence Hall Chevy/Hartford St.
The APD likes to sit in the Lawrence Hall parking lot during hours that the lot is closed and radar down the service road and up on 83/84. If the lot is open sometimes they will sit in the 7-11 parking lot. They get a lot of folks on the service road that just took the S14th exit because is goes from 60 to 45. They also caught my husband up on 83/84 this same way. He was already past the dealership on the highway and the APD clocked him from the car lot and chased him down to give him a ticket. Very sneaky.

I have been driving down this access road every day for the last 11 years and have seen an officer here just twice (in the same week). This is most definitely not a common speed trap. However, I certainly agree it would be a good place for a police car to blend in with all the other vehicles parked at the dealership. As fast as the traffic travels on this road, having either just exited the freeway or speeding up to get on the freeway, this should be an easy place for an office to fill his quota.
