Bikers Beware!
Helen cops don’t like bikers. Although it is a popular destination for bikers to eat, take a break during a ride, etc. The cops will use any excuse to harass. Be sure to have all your documents in order in case they decide to do “compliance checks.” Have your drivers license, (with an “M” endorsement) tag receipt and proof of insurance ready to hand over or you’re toast!

I am a cop in Georgia and a biker also. Thanks for the info. Just so you are aware, in the state of Georgia you are encouraged to carry you proof of insurance but you are no longer required to do so. Proof is confirmed by the officer running you registration plate and verifying the vehicle or bike is currently insured. You are also not required to carry you vehicle registration. A GCIC/NCIC check will verify ownership and whether the vehicle/bike is stolen. Ride safe.
