Bowles Avenue near Platte Canyon Road/Lowell Boulevard

Littleton police regularly pull over speeding vehicles in the area between Grant Ranch Blvd and Platte Canyon Road/Lowell Blvd. In the morning it usually affects only eastbound traffic, and the police are very hard to see on the side roads joining Bowles. Usually they stand well in front of their vehicles with a Radar gun, so all you notice is a person standing on the sidewalk pointing something at you as you drive by. They are there several times a week. Posted speed limit is 35, slowing from the 40mph posted just before Grant Ranch Blvd. They usually won’t pull you over if you’re going 40, but 45 is pushing your luck. They also have a regular speed trap in the mornings at Federal Blvd and Bowles as well for eastbound traffic. I got a ticket there, but pled it down to no points and a ticket for obstructed view instead of speeding, and I was going about 52 in a 35.
